Our government school students met and played cricket with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge William and Kate at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore!
Cricket stars Sana Mir, Hassan Ali, Urooj Mumtaz Khan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi joined the DOSTI student family on the occasion and five of our students from SMB Fatima Jinnah Government Girls School were delighted to interact with them.
8th-grader Zainab Arshad was selected as one of 3 students who got a special chance to share their story with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. She shared her journey from being a quiet primary school student who struggled to make friends to a young girl who is comfortable with her identity and that of her peers. The Duchess listened intently as Zainab ended with a reflection on how her chess class at school taught her to value everyone, regardless of how powerful they may appear.
