Tax-Exemption on Donations to Zindagi Trust
By donating to Zindagi Trust, individuals or groups of people can receive a deduction of up to 30% on their taxable income for the year, while companies can receive a deduction of up to 20%. This opportunity is made possible through the Finance Act of 2012.
Shariah-Compliance
Shariah-Compliance for Zakat Donations
Zindagi Trust follows Shariah law in its Zakat collection process, which has been examined by a Shariah Advisor. The Advisor has issued a certificate verifying that Zindagi Trust is Shariah compliant, and
a copy of the certificate is available for viewing . Any donation collected as Zakat by Zindagi Trust is kept in separate bank accounts at Islamic Banks in Pakistan, and is used to educate deserving children throughout the year. The Trust has well-defined standard operating procedures (SOPs) that govern the use of Zakat, which have been established by its Shariah team.
