Position Overview:
Zindagi Trust is seeking a dedicated and passionate LSBE Subject Lead to enhance the quality of our Life Skills Based Education (LSBE) Program at our adopted government girls’ school, SMB Fatima Jinnah Government Girls School. In this vital role, you will oversee the implementation of the LSBE curriculum, provide in-service training and offer ongoing support to educators. Your leadership will empower teachers with the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver effective LSBE instruction, ultimately improving educational outcomes for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Implementation:
- Oversee the effective implementation of the revised LSBE curriculum in assigned schools.
- Ensure that curriculum resource materials are current and align with educational standards and objectives.
In-Service Training:
- Design, develop and deliver in-service training programs for teachers focused on LSBE subject matter and teaching methodologies.
- Conduct regular workshops, seminars and professional development sessions to enhance teachers’ instructional skills.
Teacher Support:
- Provide individualized support and coaching to teachers to improve instructional practices and student engagement in LSBE.
- Facilitate peer observations and feedback sessions to foster a collaborative learning environment.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Monitor the implementation of the LSBE program and assess its effectiveness through classroom observations, teacher feedback and student performance data.
- Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to enhance program delivery.
Resource Development:
- Develop and disseminate teaching resources, including lesson plans, instructional materials and assessment tools.
- Collaborate with other educators to create innovative teaching aids and strategies.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with school administrators and educational authorities to ensure alignment of LSBE programs with school goals.
- Foster a supportive network among LSBE teachers across schools to share best practices and resources.
Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of training activities, teacher support and program evaluations.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on the progress of LSBE programs, including achievements and areas for improvement.
Professional Development:
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends and advancements in LSBE education.
- Apply new knowledge and techniques to enhance your role and the effectiveness of the LSBE program.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in LSBE or related subjects, with a background in providing professional development and support to educators.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of LSBE content and instructional strategies.
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to design and implement effective training programs.
- Proficiency in educational technology and resource management.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
