Because if we want to fix education in Pakistan, we must fix the system built to serve everyone.
For millions of children, a government school isn’t just a choice, it’s the only one they have.
These schools already stand with classrooms, buildings, and teachers in place waiting to be transformed.
No other institution has the scale, mandate, and moral duty to educate every child, everywhere.
In the heart of Karachi, two forgotten government schools now stand as living proof that public education can be reimagined and rebuilt. Zindagi Trust turned neglect into opportunity and created thriving spaces where children learn with dignity, purpose, and pride.

Our advocacy has led to concrete legislative and policy reforms across child protection, school governance, curriculum design, and teacher development, proving that lasting change begins at the top.
We believe school should be a place of safety, not fear. Through relentless advocacy, we helped push through a landmark ban on corporal punishment in Sindh and Islamabad - a critical step toward protecting children’s dignity, mental health, and right to learn in peace.
Children deserve more than textbooks, they need the tools to navigate life. With our support, the Life Skills-Based Education (LSBE) curriculum is now part of public school systems in Sindh and Balochistan, teaching students how to stay safe, speak up, and make empowered choices in a complex world.
By advocating for the merger of fragmented government schools within shared premises, we’ve helped restructure them into stronger, better-resourced institutions.
We piloted the use of alternative textbooks at SMB Fatima Jinnah Government School and other public schools, challenging the monopoly of outdated, one-size-fits-all content. This initiative opens the door for richer, more relevant learning experiences and sets the stage for evidence-based curriculum reform across Pakistan.
Your support can turn under-resourced classrooms into places of possibility. Donate today to help every Pakistani child access the education and the future they deserve.
