About Durbeen
Durbeen, Zindagi Trust's sister organisation, is making waves in teacher education. Durbeen is a non-profit education company that is striving to raise the standard of education in Pakistan's government schools by staffing them with professionally qualified teacher graduates of reformed Government Colleges of Teacher Education.
Durbeen’s premise has been set in linking teacher selection and quality teacher education with school reform. For this purpose, Durbeen has partnered with the Government of Sindh to take over the management of the Government Elementary College of Education, Hussainabad, where it is offering a 4-year undergraduate degree program to prepare teachers to teach in Grades 1-8 in government schools. Durbeen’ core mission is to transform teaching into a highly sought-after and rigorous profession in Pakistan. 
Responsibilities
Durbeen is looking for dynamic individuals to join the faculty of the 04-years B.Ed. (Elementary) teaching degree program at the Government Elementary College of Education, Hussainabad campus in Karachi. Applicants should hold an B.Ed. and ideally a Bachelor or Masters degree in the subject that they are applying for, along with 02+ years of school teaching experience.
The teaching load for a Full-Time Lecturer will be one course per semester as well as teaching practice supervision. The faculty member will report to the College’s CEO or Chief Academic Officer.
