Graduation!
April marked the end of the term for students
at our non-formal schools for working children.
242 students graduated from our primary education
program. The top 50 graduates were placed in mainstream
schools and ensured financial support throughout
their schooling. We are also thrilled to welcome

Reform Workshop
We participated in the Education & Literacy
Department - Reform Unit's workshop on strengthening
curriculum based teaching and learning practices.
The event improved our understanding of the processes
involved in developing and delivering the national
curriculum and gave us a platform to share our ideas

Inclusive
Sports Workshop
30 primary section teachers at our government school
participated in an inclusive sports training workshop
where they learned how concepts and skills such
as non-verbal communication and spatial resource
usage through demonstrations and exercises. The
focus was on introducing adaptable methods such
as non-verbal communication that would allow for
inclusive instruction for special children. Read

Exhibition
Students at our government school put up a colorful
display of recycled art including finger puppets,
decorative baskets, jewelry boxes and tile paintings.
Parents were invited to the event to communicate
the value of learning modules beyond academics.

Mother's
Day Tribute Campaign
Donate
to our project as a gift in honour of your mom

Exams
April was the month of final exams at our government
school - board exams for Class 9 & 10 and finals
for everyone else. We're all happy to be done and

Board
Meeting Update
The Board of Trustees held their bi-annual meeting to review
the progress and goals of the organization. It was decided that
Zindagi Trust will take up a second government school in Karachi
to replicate the school reform project ongoing at Fatima Jinnah
School. The board also resolved to find donors for the endowment
fund and the Ramzan Campaign in order to make the trust sustainable. |
