Stars shine in National Football
Three students from our SMB Fatima Jinnah School represented Sindh in the 8th National Women's Football Championship. The school's star athlete and sportswoman, 7th-grader Roshana Jalal won two Player of the Match awards for her performance. More on the team's journey here.
Inter-School Sports
Sports at the SMB Fatima Jinnah School had a busy October with teams representing the school in several inter-school competitions including Tennikoit, where they reached the semis; Junior Cricket, which they won; and Throwball. Inter-House Competitions also took place in Cricket and in Netball.
  Space Week
Students from the SMB Fatima Jinnah Government School participated in various events at the annual Space Week organized by SUPARCO, including competitions in Quiz, Debate (which one of our students won 2nd prize in), Model Making and Rocket Making.
  Museum & Picnic Day
Our Paid to Learn schools for working children in Karachi enjoyed a trip to the PAF Museum and a picnic at Hill Park. The day involved rides, outdoor games and food - a refreshing break for kids who spend most of their days working cramped shops or homes!

Academic Results
The board exam results for the Grade 9 General Group students from SMB Fatima Jinnah School are out. We are pleased to report that 96% of our students who sat the exams have passed, up from 81% last year. Earlier, mid-term results were announced in a Parents-Teachers Meeting. Academic results of the students in our Paid to Learn Schools in Pindi were also announced last month, with awards going to the high-achievers and stipends to the successful graduates.
Other Events at Fatima Jinnah School
- Students also took part in a Global Handwashing Day to promote hygiene through children
- The junior section put up a beautiful Colour Day event to teach kids about new colours in a fun, new way
- Sports teachers attended an athletics training workshop
- The netball team took part in a coaching camp
