| Student wins 2nd position in countrywide Poetry Competition |

| SMB Fatima Jinnah Government Girls School entered the “I Have a Dream” poetry competition organized by the Children’s Museum for Peace and Human Rights (CMPHR). The contest was open to schools all over the country and the judges saw over 3300 entries from 43 schools. We are proud to announce that a poem by Fabiha, a student of 4th grade in our school, was selected out of all these entries to be awarded the 2nd position. . |

| Students participate in Workshop on Basic Banking and Saving |

| Volunteer Karachi conducted a workshop on Basic banking and the Importance of Saving at our Manzoor Colony school for working children of age 12 and above. Twenty-five children participated in the workshop which was led by a group of five students from IBA. The children, who spend a major part of their days working on the street or in repair shops, were engaged and attentive throughout the workshop and participated enthusiastically in the discussion. . |

| New term kicks off in Paid to Learn schools across Pakistan |

| Students watch their plants grow as Spring Festival comes to a close |

| Our network of schools for working children across Pakistan celebrated the arrival of spring by sowing seeds and planting herbs last month. Teachers walked the students through the hands-on activity, providing them with small pots, soil, seeds and spray bottles. Teachers explained the cycle of life of a plant to the children through colourful charts to encourage an interest in gardening. The activity has been integrated into the Science and Urdu classes which helps make everyday classroom learning more interactive and relevant. . |
