80 students from our Paid to Learn schools for working children in Lahore’s slums enjoyed a day at the cricket. Emirates Airlines, with Corporate & Marketing Communications (CMC) organized a field trip to the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore for these children to watch the final of the Pentangular Cup, a first-class competition between the five best provincial teams in the country.
The students enjoyed watching a good contest between the Sindh and Punjab teams, with some high-quality action on display on Day 3 of the final. The all-day activity included meals and drinks for the students and the staff, as well as souvenir t-shirts and caps for everyone. The students also got to spend some time with some of the cricketers, like Test opener Taufeeq Umar, which was a great experience for them. A big thank you to Emirates, Mr Murtaza and the other CMC staff for an entertaining event which our students enjoyed thoroughly.
