The results for the April-August academic term were announced on the 3rd September 2012 in all the schools of the Paid to Learn network for working children. On the same day, the students were promoted to their new classes and given new course textbooks and stationery for the new term.
Student Performance
As usual, there were four monthly assessments as well as a final assessment conducted to test and monitor the understanding and the progress of the students during the four-month term ending mid-August. The students performed well in general with an overall internal rating of GOOD. A small section of the students (12%) were rated as needing an improvement in their academic performance.
Awards & Appreciation
The position holders from the previous term lived up to their promise once again.
Teachers & Students from all our three regions were awarded for the best teaching and learning outcomes in their schools. A new surprise award for the best school in the region was also presented this time.

New Admissions
370 new students were admitted to schools across the country. A big thank you goes out to our regional coordinators who go out in the field to find working children and convince their parents and employers to let them attend our schools.
Graduates
A total of 240 students graduated from the primary education programme and 45 of the top graduates have been places in a variety of private and government secondary schools where they will continue their education with our sponsorship.
A special mention for the academic staff specially in the Punjab region, who worked hard in spite of the challenges of hot weather & load-shedding to maintain the morale of the teachers and the students.
