Schools for Working Children Celebrate Fatherís Day
Date: 17/7/2012

Students at our schools for working children celebrated Father’s Day last month. The children took great interest in paying tribute to their fathers in different ways. They wrote and recited poems; read out letters addressed to their fathers; made posters highlighting their love for their fathers, and also presented tableaus about the child-father relationship.

Most of our students work in slum areas and spend most, if not all, of their days on the streets. Developing and maintaining a strong relationship with their families is critical to their futures, so we hope that this exercise in celebrating their bonds with their fathers will go a long way in stabilizing their lives.
